Teamweek Is A Gantt Chart Software For Mac

The top free project management software options. Bitrix24: Business management software for small and midsize businesses. Bitrix24 is a collaborative business management solution designed to unite customer relationship management (CRM), project management (PM), human resources (HR), and workflow automation on one platform. Gantt, meanwhile, is a type of bar chart that is used to track tasks. The horizontal access of the chart is actually a calendar, while the vertical axis is the series of tasks in the project.

Pros: As a freelancer, managing my time is one of the hardest things for me to do. I mostly work by myself, so I wasn't sure I even needed a project management tool. I signed up for Agantty out of sheer curiosity and I haven't regretted it for a second. I never expected that planning out my working days would one day turn into a fun activity. Agantty's UI is clean and beautiful, simple yet smart.

It only took a few minutes for me to become familiar with the core functionality. There's a useful division between the calendar-like gantt chart and the dashboard, which shows your projects as a to-do list.

I prefer using the gantt chart, not only because it gives me a better overview if I have various overlapping tasks on a given day, but also because it shows me at a glance how much I've already accomplished. There's no better feeling than marking a task as finished. Cons: Even though Agantty is very user-friendly, some things aspects could still be simplified. For example, when working alone, I would like that any new task automatically be assigned to me, and that the tasks and users sections in the gantt chart view could be merged into one.

Then again, I realize that I'm probably not the average user and that Agantty really shines when used for collaborative work. Pros: Gantt Chart - I just love it! All of the other project management tool charge you in order to use the Gantt Chart, but in Agantty you can use it. All of the other features are also great and work perfectly. Cons: The english version of Agantty website does not work on Safari browser. I remember trying to open the website a while ago and it did not work, so I decided that it is some kind of spam website.

But about a year ago I opened it with Chrome and it worked perfectly. Safari version still does not work.

Agantty team, adapt your website for Safari browser, it is important. Overall: Projects management, team collaboration, optimizing processes inside different teams. Pros: The collaboration feature is extremely easy to use. I can assign people to tasks, and team members can make edits and also add tasks themselves. This sort of coordination is better than in many professional calendar applications we use.

The idea of using Gantt charts for project management is ingenious - sure, it's been done before, but Agantty has truly mastered it. Cons: I would like for the program to have more external integrations, in particular Dropbox or Google drive. Trello did a great job of doing that, and if Agantty were to do that too it would truly be one of the greatest pieces of software I've used. I'd also like to see an export feature where the Gantt charts can be printed or displayed as an image, preferably with the option to exclude certain projects/tasks or overall modify the look of it. Overall: Project Management has never been easier.

It's great to use internally in a team, and also great for showing to clients. They are always impressed when they see the organized Gantt charts Agantty provides. Pros: Its free & its easy to learn how to getting started. So its quite easy to work on projects, manage the team members and stick to the plan as I always got a quick overview on all projects. And the design is teriffic. All in all the Agantty-Team is doing a great job.

Cons: Sometimes there are issues by using different browsers. Chromes performance is the best. Some funktions are uneasy to realize ( for e.

Just copy existing milestones & tasks). Shortcuts would be awesome.:) And there are always some issues scaling the timeline. After first scaling it`s sometimes hard to get back to the default sttings, because the timeline automatically expands. Thats tricky sometimes. Pros: I have started using for a month and I am really impressed with it (for a max of 5 members on your team). Visually very interactive and simple to keep track of your workes.

Sends email as a reminder. I can see my due date overlapping work hour and manage meeting for my clients very effortlessly. It took me just 5min to learn how to use it and it is now working very well. Clean UI and options are really very much simplify my work. Cons: The UI is good but sometime it gets stucks in the way of my workflow, as the options is very learge when opened.

When try to print a projects it dosen't open all tasks, they are hidden. No gdrive integration is here so no more expendable memory. Overall: A pritty looking very interactive management tool, which I love to use everyday. Its does all project management jobs that you need a basic software to do. Pros: No limits of projects of user, you will not have to worry for paying licenses or extra elements to more users or projects, Agantty offers the possibility to make how many projects you want, and the most important of all you can share your projects with your partners without members limit. Cons: It does not exist an app for Android and that nowadays is big limitation, because it will be wonderful to use this app direct in your smartphone or tablet, but unfortunately is only available for desktop computers. Pros: - it has a great overview of your projects that you are working on -they are still implementing new features for it -you get great connectivity with calendars etc.you can use it on the most devices in your daily live -its free to use for everyone! Cons: You get an product that is still in work and sometimes you cant use it because they are working on it.

It is for the most people suitable, but certainly not for everyone. I can suggest you: Try it and get your own opinion. Overall: It got me used to work and organize bigger projects than i used to do. I implemented in our office and the most users use it on the weekly base to check if they have to prepare some things for the next week or so.

Pros: To get a better overview over my Projects I was searching for a free Project Management Software with Gantt Chart. Agantty did it.

Simply amazing and easy to use Webinterface with a modern look. Great functionality to invite other team members and possibility to plan a project with milestones with just a few simple clicks.

With the Dashboard you'll get a nice overview over your running Projects. Additionaly you have the possibility to get reminders about the current status of your Project. Developers did add new features for free which is a further plus. Thank you for creating such a software:) Cons: Sometimes the Animation lacks a Little bit, but I don't use Google Chrome. Over all there are no really cons for me at the Moment.

Overall: Better overview over my running Projects Creating a Project with just a few simple clicks. Pros: One of the best things using this software is the design. It is very nice to use it, easy to understand and very useful when it comes to managing things. Nothing to say, the website is very good. Neither bugs nor huge things missing, just 'little things';) Cons: Even though I have one thing I would love to see in Agantty: A calendar.

Since the program shows the 'bar design' all over the place, it would be very nice to see a 'calendar' for an overview in the future (similar to the 'monthly' tab, but in a calendar style). Also using Agantty on Mac OSX in a program itself and a google calendar integration / sync would be very nice. Pros: Easy to manage, peer to peer connection, unlimited number of projects which is very useful for people like who works in HR and I am constantly involves with new related to employees and management, friendly interphase to manage time, task and calendar, and of course the most important of all, it is free. Cons: Maybe not so powerful to manage images or files, which is very important in HR, becuase I manage documents with specific time of delivery and it would be great if I can manage that document direct on the app, but unfortunately I cannot do that. Overall: Great tool to manage projects of HR depatment.

Pros: I found this excellent searching for free app to make projects, and when I start to using it was amazing, the interphase is great, because it is very simple to use, you have basic option like putting the name of the project, add task and select days, while you do all this you can see how your project is growing in the Gantt Charts, and you can edit and modify what you want later. Cons: I have not so much experience building projects, but for me the app works excellent, I have nothing bad to say, maybe they can add more tutorials in the main website for beginners users like me. Pros: The first and for the most people the best reason is, it's for free. And you don't need to buy there something to work with this software. The overview is very nice, you can simply drag and drop your things you have to do anywhere you want.

You can create teams with members of your team, create deadlines to see what is important to do. Cons: There is nothing but things we need to work better and the developer are actually making it. But how is a note function? I don't want to use software from anyone i can't trust. Overall: Better structuring of my projects with other team members. Pros: It is easy to manage, very friendly interphase, you have no limits for projects creation, you can add in each project any information you want and how many task you need, it works wonderful because you can share your project with your friends and coworkers to hear opinions and improve some aspects of your work.

Cons: It does not come with any feature of administration and cost, so if you want to manage this kind of feature you have to use another software as support for accounting and administration. Pros: The way that this app works is very nice, because you only have to create your account, set a name for your project, choose a color and select if a team is assignated, after all this you only have to add the task, and check in the Gantt Chart how your project is working, and you can make changes when you want. Cons: As a administrator I can say that some specific functions of accounting are not in this app, and it would be great if the app some features related to it. Overall: Very useful tool to manage projects. Pros: The interface and the PDF export feature. I like also the fast response of the elements, because in other apps we use, just freeze, and have to wait too long for any change. Cons: As a beginner Project Manager, its good to see more 'tool tips' or guidelines to implement the great information in your blog through the site.

A plus must be an iPhone app Overall: I know its hard to believe, but the blog gives me a lot confidence when I have to implement my projects. Meanwhile the PDF export feature its great! Pros: First of all: It's free! So there is no risk of using it. It's very clean and well designed. It helps a lot in my personal project organization. You can work with as many people as you want.

The dashboard is great. Cons: There are no apps for iOS and Android yet. I miss a connection to my calendar. Would love to have some reminders. Would be great if there would be also a possibility for tasks that are not part of a project but need to be done. Overall: It helps me a lot in my personal organisation.

Pros: It is free and easy to use. You can start immediately. No need for long introduction videos and so on. The functionalities are easy to understand. Great to make a fast draft and go deeper into details afterwards.

I like the fact that you can configure colors etc. Cons: This software is still in development status. There are a few features I am missing. Mostly dependencies between different projects/products for example. Same with milestones. And there are few bugs while displaying the gantt charts. Overall: I can easily share it with my team and it is free.

This tool helps me to get a great overview for all my projects. Private and business. Pros: Free and easy to use project management software. I tried many apps paid and free like Gantter, GanttProject, OpenProject, Teamweek, Orapm but I stay with Agantty. Because: -UI looks modern and easy to use (especialy when we compare with Gannt Project or OpenProject) - Free not only for you but also for your mates (not like asana where you have free plan for one user) - Reports on email - Tasks on Projects - Reports on email Cons: - Need more advance task system (consider lists like in Assana or Dropbox Papper) - At this moment lack of support for Wunderlist/Assana/Trello Overall: Better scope of projects. Pros: If you are starting to work with projects like me, this app is the best option, because it has a simple design that can help you to understand which are the basic elements to make a successful project, and there are; the name of the project, the creation and names of the task, the visualization of the gantt charth and the analysis of the information. And you can do all this with Agantty.

Teamweek Is A Gantt Chart Software For Mac

Cons: Actually I like everything, I do not have any complains about the software, maybe they can add a better interphase for images and the possibility to add audio, but for me works perfect. Pros: Everything you need to make a project you have in Agantty, easy tool you can add your tasks, fixed days, make schedules and monitoring the advances, you can have connection with other users, to make a great teamwork. Performing through a Gantt diagraman all the features are easy to do and understand, this a very great app- Cons: Maybe they can improve some features, like the possibility of add images, or more details in the task option, this a very awesome tool, but is not powerful as an office desktop software. Overall: Great option for projects, and the most important of all, for free.

Pros: I can manage my projects of design easily, managing the calendar, the task and the administrative processes, so in this way I can saw how I advance and where are the mean limitations of the projects. And when I have to put more attention to be on time for the delivery. Cons: This app is not as powerful as other software for projects, because it has only the basic tools to work, does not have a tool to manage money and accounting which a very importan feature when you manage projects. Overall: Manage my projects of design easily and monitoring all the processes. Pros: This app is very friendly, through their five steps process you can easily create a project, add the task, invite your friends and monitoring the advances, is that simple, you do not have to worry for paying expenses licenses, you just login with your free account and start working. Cons: By the time I do not have anything bad to say about it, this app has help me a lot, it will be wonderful if they can build a downloable version of the app.

Overall: Make projects, and manage task and calendars for free. Pros: Forget about pay for create and manage projects, with Agantty you can do that for free, with one account you have no limits of the number of projects and tasks that you can manage, you can also work with partners and handle the project in the perfect way with the participation of all the people involve. This a great app for projects. Cons: For a project tool working only basic in Gannt Diagrams can be a limitation, because the projects involve more than just a diagrams, the projects needs interaction with the people, modelling opinion and statistical procedures, you will not find that in this app.

Work smarter with project management tools and resource scheduling software Project management tools can help plan, organise, and manage projects as well as your agency resources – whether they’re people, rooms, or phone lines. Project management tools can be used to develop resource plans and create resource requirement forecasts. Depending on the sophistication of the software, they can also include tools for estimation and planning, scheduling, cost control and budget management, resource allocation, and document storage.

The challenge with resource scheduler software is that there’s often a lot of overlap with other business functions. Resource management, time tracking, project communication, expenses, storage, Professional Services Automation (PSA) and Services Resource Planning Software (SRP) can all find themselves bundled together—this can be good, but if you need to integrate with or replace legacy systems, things can start getting complicated. About Ben Aston I’m Ben Aston, a digital project manager. I've been in the industry for more than 10 years working in the UK at London’s top digital agencies including Dare, Wunderman, Lowe and DDB. I’ve delivered everything from video virals to CMS’, flash games to banner ads and eCRM to eCommerce sites. I’ve been fortunate enough to work across a wide range of great clients; automotive brands including Land Rover, Volkswagen and Honda; Utility brands including BT, British Gas and Exxon, FMCG brands such as Unilever, and consumer electronics brands including Sony. Thank you Ben for this resource, you have pointed out some new software that I’ve never heard about!

In my company we are using Teamwork right now(not Teamwork pm:-)) and it is a really good software for scheduling resources. At first we also thought that a software for managing our resources’ time was not necessary but since we started using it we immediately encountered its benefitl! We are now more conscious about which of our resources is overloaded and so we can manage the situation in time and all the team is happier 🙂 If you want to take a look at Teamwork here is the site. Thank you Sarah for your precious suggestion! I already tried lot of PMS, but after your suggestion I gave Teamwork a try. Now we are completely addicted!

We started with a very light approach, inserting only the root of each project and using issues for day-bay-day management (we found the issue planner quite comfortable). Now we structure complex projects using Teamwork Gantt editor and even dependencies, but only when really necessary (some of our customers love to ask us a printed Gantt 🙂 ) As you said, having a clear situation of work progress, project costs and work load makes our team happier 🙂 Thanks, thanks, thanks. I just shopped for a project management tool for my team, I almost bought Asana and then I met the Streamframe team at SxSW.

Teamweek Is A Gantt Chart Software For Machine Learning

The project management space is so fragmented. Even with the most modern tools we still ended up relying on email and spreadsheets as a “catch all.” Particularly worrying to us was how financial and efficiency tracking seemed to be completely ignored when managing projects. Even in Beta, Streamframe solves all these problems. Their feedback is quick and they have already started working some of my companies suggestions into their road map. Here is the URL: check it out. May I suggest Comidor ( ), which is a collaboration platform that provides a wide range of business solutions (Collaboration, Project Management, CRM, Financials and BI).

A small overview of Comidor’s functionalities: – Collaboration: embedded email, chat, messages, video-calls, activity wall, organizational chart, calendar, wikis, personal profiles, contacts, accounts and more. – Document Management: document sharing, locking, versioning, rating, security levels, embedded viewers and more. – Task Assignment: tasks, events, discussions, issue tracking, workflows and more. – Project Management: scheduling, Gantt charts, resources, costs, milestones, deliverables, “Comidor ECHO MODEL” and more. – Customer Relationship Management: leads, opportunities, campaigns, contracts, accounts, funnel charts and more. – Financial: incomes, expenses, budgets, balances, cash flows, activity history and more.

– Business Intelligence: reports, advanced filters, query designer, pie charts, line charts, geo analysis – Integration: MS Office, Dropbox, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google Maps, Gmail, Hotmail, Outlook, PDF, EDIs, custom connections via web services. I’d suggest to check out PM solution for agencies and studios by Comindware – I like it for its automated priority-based planning, automated plan updates according to real-time project status, easy workload control and (my favorite!) advanced collaboration options including online discussion rooms.

You have to buy license for key project members and can invite unlimited number of collaborators which can take part in discussions and see tasks assigned to them, but not project in general. If you manage people as much or more as you do projects, if you need something more flexible then standard project tools, something that will cover 80% of what crosses your desk, and you’re a manager or VP or C-level officer, and you wouldn’t describe yourself as a project manager per se, then you fit what we do, and we use ManagePro. It’s the project management tool that’s designed for people who aren’t.

A lot of hp to handle everything from tracking what you’ve delegated to dashboards, and allows you to drag and drop Outlook emails into the project plans as well. Blatant self promotion, but checkout Forecast.it Forecast.it is a full end-to-end data-driven Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) platform that is easy-to-use right in your browser. We are in 25+ nations, multi language, multi currency, with consolidated accounting across offices. We welcome comments and if more interest please contact me.

Best, Chris Brown. Agreed with your initial line about ‘my preference is for tools that do one thing really well rather than a catch-all tool which does lots of things, but none of them quite right’. I feel like resource scheduling tools always get grouped into other software offerings, (especially in PM tools) even though resource management should really be treated as a separate but integrated function. Saviom Resource Management Software (www.saviom.com/resource-management-software.aspx) are one of the few tools on the market that provide a full Enterprise Resource Scheduling solution. You should definetely check it out! The company I am with is using Basecamp and Harvest but I really am looking for something a bit more. Backstory: we work with a team of contractors that all have different levels of tasks they can do.

Some are available at different times, some only can do specific tasks, and some only have a specific amount of hours they can work. I am looking for something to input their information in and to click a type of filter that lets me know who is available in the afternoon and can review a site on Firefox (for example). I don’t want anything overly complicated. If it can be integrated with BC and Harvest, that would be great but not necessary.

What Is A Gantt Chart

But I think there is another pressing need in the area of project / resource management that these tools do not address. These tools do a fantastic job of scheduling resources to project work at a tactical / low level. But as organizations scale (and they do not have to be that big) they need to then take strategic approach to their resource management.

So by this I mean answering questions such as: – Given the projects underway and in the pipeline how many resources will we need over the next 12 months? – What skills mix will we need in those resources? – Will we have to hire / fire resources and if so when?

– If we change around the priorities of our projects, how will this impact deadlines and resource needs? – What will happen if we start up 5 new projects next month?

These kind of questions are key but rarely answered by project management or resource scheduling tools. Perhaps a good topic for another article? There are a few tools that do help you answer the questions above Kelloo is one I have used with good success. There was another I used (Atlantic Global) but I can’t track a website down for them.

Basically, Kelloo / AG includes features for resource planning, resource capacity planning, resource demand planning, scenario modeling, what-if modeling etc. They take a more strategic approach to resource planning. Something that most organizations do in spreadsheets but do very badly.

Hi Sawek – yes I did try try Hub Planner. It was a nice tool, but was dealing with basic day to day scheduling of resources in a calendar format.

It didn’t help me with the problems I was having as expanded upon in my prior post. I think we need to make a distinction when talking about resource planning / resource scheduling tools. There are many tools out there that let you allocate a resource to a piece of work for a period and then let you keep tabs on the resources utilization levels. So I would include tools like Hub Planner, Float and 1000K foot in this category. They tend to rely on the scheduler managing the schedule / allocating the tasks to smooth the workload of the resources.

Then you have tools which are dynamic. What do I mean by this? – You do not have to manage the schedule at a low level, which is great as your resource levels increase. – They help you understand how you can solve your resource problems (not just tell you that you have a problem). – You can explore different resourcing options to optimize your resources usage. – You can model the impact different resource levels will have on your deadlines (i.e what happens if I hire / fire etc).

– Selecting different project options will have a radical impact on your resource plans. If a new project is started up but others put on hold, you need to quickly understand how this impacts your resources. So these tools tend to have a higher level focus and the planning horizon tends to be weeks to months as opposed to what is happening today / this week. I would badge these tools as resource capacity planning solutions. I started off looking at.

I liked the tool. X wallpaper for mac. The alternative to liquid planner that I ended up using was. Hi everyone, I have been looking for a planning tool for our online marketing agency for some time now. The main problem I keep bumping into is that with each planning tool you can only plan per day and not per week. We are an agency that work on a weekly basis. Every employee has 40 hours per week, every client gets a certain amount of hours out of these 40 every week. I am looking for a planning tool that allows us to plan these hours without placing it on a certain day. Our employees get to decide themselves whenever they want to spend those hours on that specific client.

Does anybody know a planning tool that has this feature? I am looking forward hearing from you guys.

Thanks in advance!
