I did nothing to hurt or damage this hard drive and one day it just crashed on me and now I have to send it into a data recovery center (data recovery insurance was never offered to me by an apple rep) and now i have to pay 650 dollars out of pocket to get my work from a defective hard drive.
You'd think they would pay for a data recovery since it wasn't my fault right? So it makes me wonder if they intentionally designed this product to fail so that you would eventually be forced to get data recovery.
If i designed this hard drive I would've made sure the ports could secure themselves or somehow mount to the laptop. Kind of like the Fitbit charger if you've ever seen it. I am never buying a Lacie or seagate hard drive again. The poor customer service and data warranty should be a red flag to anyone who is looking into buying a Lacie/seagate hard drive. Poor quality USB micro 3.0 port The port where the usb cable connects to the hard drive itself (i.e. The USB micro 3.0 port) is not tight, so whenever there's the slightest vibration on a desk The port where the usb cable connects to the hard drive itself (i.e. The USB micro 3.0 port) is not tight, so whenever there's the slightest vibration on a desk or workstation, the connection to the computer fails, prompting the Mac to say that the hard drive was not properly ejected. You'd think they would pay for a data recovery since it wasn't my fault right?
